Since the financial crisis went into full force in 2009, Breakpoint is suffering from a drastically cut down budget - companies have far less budget options to support a creative event as ours these days. That's why our budget is much smaller than for example in 2008. We also can't just increase the entrance fee for our visitors, because this would make it impossible to visit Breakpoint for many sceners, especially those who are Students or living in eastern Europe.
Maybe you aren't that poor and be willing to help Breakpoint by donating some money? This would be a of great help.
There are multiple ways you may financially support Breakpoint 2010: You could try to get us a sponsor.
For those who are able to give 250 Euros or above, we've created the “supporter” ticket. Buying this ticket in advance helps funding Breakpoint a lot. All those tickets sales will go 100% into adding additional party features that right now can not yet be paid for. These party features include the outside party tent, a better PA system, live music acts, party video recording, wired party network, wireless party network, hotel bus shuttle service and competiton prize money. You may chose yourself on how much money you wish to donate.
Please understand that strictly speaking, this is not a donation - you are buying a ticket, and will get a written invoice for it. The invoice is fully tax deductable. Especially for companys this is a great way to donate money the easy way.
Supporting Breakpoint this way is a heroic task. The scene will thank you for doing it. When buying the ticket, you may chose if your name/handle will be displayed on the “These people saved easter 2010” list during the party and on the website, or if your prefer to stay anonymous. As a thank-you for your support, you're also going to receive a unique little present when arriving at the partyplace.
